About us

Sauti na Teknolojia (SautiTek) is a youth-centered and feminist organization based in Tanzania that leverages arts and technology to drive social change. Our mission is to empower girls, women, and children to advocate for sexual and reproductive health rights, environmental preservation, and freedom of expression. By amplifying underrepresented voices, we inspire sustainable action led by young people, particularly children, adolescent girls, and women.

We address challenges such as limited access to information, cultural taboos, and social norms that silence youth, women, and children, especially in underserved and rural areas. Through creative platforms, tech-based innovations, and artistic initiatives, we nurture creativity, resilience, and leadership, ensuring that young voices are heard and valued.

Our vision is a Tanzania where girls, children, and women use their talents, creativity, and innovative skills to bring meaningful change to their lives and communities. We focus on empowering children, adolescent girls, young women, and youth in rural areas, while collaborating with creative youth groups, women-led organizations, and advocacy networks.

Our programs include:

Research, Documentation, and Digital Archiving: Preserving and amplifying underrepresented voices through feminist-informed knowledge-building practices. Advocacy and Training: Equipping youth with creative learning, digital literacy, and arts-based methodologies to raise their voices and advocate for change.

Key areas of focus include media and storytelling training, digital literacy, art as advocacy, community dialogues, and fostering creativity and innovation. At Sauti na Teknolojia, we believe storytelling is power, and creativity is a tool for healing, resistance, and transformation.
